Rangreza Kaaftaan
Rangreza Kaftaan
Step into the timeless art of the rangreza, the master dyer whose hands have long given colour its soul in South Asian textile tradition. The Rangreza Kaaftaan is an ode to this craft, rendered in a soft, luminous cream that lets its intricate handwork take centre stage.
Cut from House woven premium silk, the silhouette falls with an easy, fluid grace, finished with a boat neckline and a side keyhole for a clean, modern edge. Its symmetrical floral print is elevated with genuine leather stitch detailing and anchor thread knots, layered further with sequins, dabka pati, and tilla aari tanka in graduating shades, a dialogue between print and embroidery that gives the garment its quiet richness. The kaftan sleeves are finished in chermoise silk, lending a soft, fluid drape to every movement.
Requiring 37 hours of dedicated adda work, this piece is the result of patient, layered craftsmanship. Two skilled artisans worked together on this single garment, each devoted to a distinct part of the embroidery, a quiet collaboration that gives the Rangreza Kaaftaan its depth and character.
